FADED FACTORY / THE PROCESS
Your business. Your brand.
Let’s bring it to life.
Faded Factory is the custom apparel side of Faded Fabrics. We bring the same streetwear approach we use for our own brand to yours—helping businesses, brands, artists, and organizations create apparel people actually want to wear.
Bring your finished artwork. We’ll help you choose the garment and printing method to bring it to life, whether you need shirts for your crew, merch for your business, or your next clothing drop.
Here’s how our DTF and DTG printing processes work.
Direct-to-film printing
Your design starts on a transfer film, then goes onto the garment using heat and pressure. Here’s our three-press process.
- 01ARTWORK → TRANSFER
Your artwork
Your finished design becomes a full-color DTF transfer, ready for application.
- 02GET IT IN PLACE
Position the transfer
We lay out the garment and line up your design in the right spot.
- 03PRESS 01 / APPLY
First press
Heat and pressure apply the transfer to the garment.
- 04REVEAL THE PRINT
Peel the film
The carrier film lifts away, leaving your design on the fabric.
- 05PRESS 02 / FINISH
Second press
The design goes back under the press for another finishing pass.
- 06PRESS 03 / FINAL PASS
Seal + final press
We apply Magic Seal, then complete our third press. Teflon sheets are used during finishing.
Direct-to-garment printing
Your design is printed directly onto the garment, then heat-cured to finish the print.
- 01PREPARE
Prepare the garment
We prepare the print area, with pretreatment and drying as needed for the garment and ink.
- 02PRINT
Print onto the fabric
The printhead moves across the garment, laying your design directly onto the fabric.
- 03CURE
Cure with heat
Heat cures the ink using the settings required for the garment and ink system.
- 04INSPECT
Check the finished piece
We review the print and placement before your apparel is ready to go.
